Terry King retired from the Canadian Air Force in 1988, after 20 years of service. He subsequently worked for the Government of New Brunswick in the position of Project Executive for the Department of Economic Development and Tourism. In 1995, he launched his own consulting firm and formed a partnership with Albion Group International, to establish the Albion Group-Canada, Inc. with a focus on providing services to industry in industrial and regional benefits, small business development and subcontracting and marketing within the federal government procurement sector and to provide offset services to clients outside of Canada.

Terry has accumulated extensive in-depth experience related to Canadian Industrial Regional Benefits (IRB) and International Offsets in the implementation of government economic development policies, project management and business development. His most recent experience has been in industrial and regional benefits (Offset) development, implementation and management for major information technology/telecommunications, aerospace and defence companies. Terry has delivered several IRB projects for industry including strategy development, proposal development, implementation and project management. Terry has used his expertise to establish and successfully deliver IRB and Offset services within Canada and on behalf of Canadian companies in the export market.

Terry has successfully provided (IRB) management services to some major clients such as: General Dynamics Decision Systems for the Military Message Handling System; Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation for the Maritime Helicopter Project; Thales Canada for the CP140 Communications Management System; and also has developed numerous IRB proposals for a variety of Canadian and International clients.

Terry has in the course of the past decade, developed and maintained key relationships with a large number of federal government departments and agencies including, Industry Canada (IC); the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA); Canada Economic Development Quebec (CED-Q); Western Economic Diversification (WD); Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), and the Department of National Defence (DND). In addition he has contacts with Canadian and international prime contractor and subcontractors to the federal government in the defence, information technology, defence electronics, and aerospace industry sectors.

Terry has been President of the Industrial Benefits Association of Canada since 1993.
