In December 2006,Colonel Hubert Heuer retired from the German Airforce (GAF) after more than 40 years of service. At the time of his retirement, Hubert was serving as Chief Logistics, NATO Airborne Early Warning and Control Programme Management Agency (NAPMA). During his lengthy career in the GAF, Hubert served in a wide variety of senior positions in the Logistics and Engineering communities. He holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a degree in Systems Management. His background includes many years of experience in aircraft maintenance, weapons and munitions, systems acquisition management, and personnel management. For the seven years prior to joining CFN Consultants, he was Chief Logistics of the NATO Airborne Early Warning & Control Force Command at SHAPE, Belgium, and at NAPMA, Brunssum, The Netherlands. He was responsible for implementing, operating, conceiving, defining and contracting for all Logistics elements of NATO's fleet of 17 Boeing 707 AWACS aircraft. In this position he interfaced directly with numerous NATO agencies and offices, with major North American and European industries, and with senior military and ministerial level representatives of 18 NATO nations, regarding NATO/national C3 Logistics systems.
